Friday 8 February, 2019

Are you concerned you’re not getting enough breaks?

Your boss must give you rest and meal breaks during your shift. When you get a break usually depends on what hours you are working.

If you are working up to 4 hours, you are allowed one paid 10 or 15 minute break during the middle of your shift.

If you are working 4 to 6 hours, you are allowed one paid 10 or 15 minute break and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

If you are working 6 to 8 hours, you are allowed two paid 10 or 15 minute break and a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.
