#ERAsuccess A recent Employment Relations Authority win for our team and our client.

Hands reaching in for a high five.

In this case, our client says that she was unjustifiably dismissed and unjustifiably disadvantaged by her employer. Our client said her employer ignored her requests for support with training a new staff member, thereby affecting her employment to her disadvantage by its unjustifiable action. Soon after her request for help, there was an incident between her and the new worker. Our client was then subject to a disciplinary process which resulted in her unjustified dismissal. The ERA found that our client was unjustifiably dismissed and awarded compensation of $12,000 in addition to reimbursement of lost wages.

Very few of our cases end up in the ERA as most resolve before then. However if there's no other way to resolve them, we take a lot of pride in seeing our clients come away with a success in the ERA that recognises the stress that their employer has put them through.
